Le voile transparent ne dissimule jamais enti\u00e8rement les corps: il les r\u00e9v\u00e8le autant qu&rsquo;il les prot\u00e8ge, brouillant leurs contours jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 les transformer en apparitions. Les femmes apparaissent comme des pr\u00e9sences venues d&rsquo;ailleurs, recueillies dans le murmure de la rivi\u00e8re. Leurs corps semblent flotter entre l&rsquo;abandon et l&rsquo;\u00e9veil, entre le souvenir et le r\u00eave.<\/p>\n<p>Un voile l\u00e9ger les enveloppe, pareil \u00e0 une brume qui se serait pos\u00e9e sur la peau. Le voile ne cache pas le corps des femmes:\u00a0il trouble, il sugg\u00e8re, il laisse deviner. Sous lui, les contours s&rsquo;effacent doucement, comme si le r\u00e9el consentait \u00e0 se dissoudre pour laisser place au myst\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>J&rsquo;ai nomm\u00e9 cette s\u00e9rie Limbes parce que ces femmes habitent un monde suspendu, un seuil o\u00f9 rien n&rsquo;est tout \u00e0 fait termin\u00e9 ni tout \u00e0 fait commenc\u00e9. Elles d\u00e9rivent dans cet entre-deux, port\u00e9es par l&rsquo;eau, envelopp\u00e9es de silence. Peut-\u00eatre r\u00eavent-elles. Peut-\u00eatre se souviennent-elles d&rsquo;un monde que nous avons oubli\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Je les regarde s&rsquo;\u00e9loigner sans jamais dispara\u00eetre. Et dans le voile, dans l&rsquo;eau, dans cette lumi\u00e8re incertaine, il reste une pr\u00e9sence secr\u00e8te, juste au bord du visible.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dans les limbes, les voiles prennent parfois l&rsquo;apparence de linceuls l\u00e9gers. Ils enveloppent les femmes d&rsquo;un silence presque sacr\u00e9 et les laissent flotter au seuil du r\u00eave, entre effacement et m\u00e9tamorphose.<\/p>\n<figure itemscope
